AIPP Awards 2025-2026 ceremony to return to Madrid during Look!

06 May 2026
Following the success of last year’s ceremony in Madrid, the Association Internationale Presse Professionnelle Coiffure confirms that the AIPP Awards 2025-2026 ceremony will once again take place in the Spanish capital, on Sunday, 15th November, during Look, the professional beauty trade show organised by IFEMA Madrid.

The Association Internationale Presse Professionnelle Coiffure — AIPP is pleased to announce that the AIPP Awards 2025-2026 ceremony will return to Look in Madrid, Spain, this November, following the success of last year’s edition in the city. The ceremony will be held on Sunday, 15th November, during Look 2026, the professional beauty trade show organised by IFEMA Madrid, within the framework of the spectacular Effervescene Show. This return reinforces Madrid’s growing role as an international meeting point for the professional hairdressing industry and brings the global spirit of the AIPP Awards back to one of the industry’s most vibrant stages.

Due to this later celebration date, the AIPP has also decided to extend the deadline for entries until 15th June 2026, giving hairdressers, salons and creative teams from around the world more time to submit their work and take part in one of the most prestigious international competitions in professional hairdressing.

Founded in 1997 by the Association Internationale Presse Professionnelle Coiffure, the AIPP Awards have become one of the most respected events in the global hair industry, recognising excellence, creativity and innovation in hair artistry. Every year, the competition attracts entries from leading hairdressers across the world, showcasing the strength, diversity and evolution of contemporary hairdressing.

Participation is simple: hairdressers are invited to submit their collections —3 images per entry— and/or videos through the official website before the new deadline. Entries can be submitted online at www.aipp.net

A jury made up of editors from AIPP-affiliated professional hairdressing press will evaluate the submissions and select the winners across seven categories:

  • Best Avant-garde: Recognising work that explores new, original and futuristic ideas.
  • Best Commercial: Celebrating outstanding commercial hairdressing collections: fashionable, wearable and accessible for salon clients.
  • Best Color: Awarding the best hair fashion collection in terms of colour, originality and overall quality.
  • Best Men: Honouring creativity, technique and fashion vision in men’s hairdressing.
  • Best Digital: A category created to recognise hair fashion collections featuring computer-generated images, virtual models or hair, and/or AI-generated images. Collections must be submitted under the name of an individual hairdresser or hairdressing salon.
  • Best Young Talent: Recognising the best hair fashion collection created by hairdressers born in 1995 or later. Entrants must be aged 30 or younger in 2025 and should include their date of birth in the credits of their submission.
  • Best Video: Awarding the best hairdressing video of the year, created by a hairdresser or hair salon. The theme and length are open, and the video must be uploaded to a social media platform such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Vimeo or others.

Over the years, the AIPP Awards Hall of Fame has included legendary names such as Trevor Sorbie, Lluís Llongueras, Robert Lobetta, Aldo Coppola, Vidal Sassoon and Jacques Dessange, among many others.
With the 2025-2026 edition, the AIPP once again invites the global hairdressing community to share its talent, vision and creativity with the world.

New deadline for entries: 15th June 2026
